This the global rules and information list for this forum. All of these rules must be followed, failure to do so can result in punishments such as bans, revocation of privileges and other such things. These rules are put in place to help this forum and it's users remain safe, happy and protected. Global rules apply to every part of this forum, however, there will also be special rules for each part of the forum. It is very important that you take the time to at-least read or skim this rule list before posting. This post will also contain some basic information about using this forum, it is not as important but you should at-least take the time to read through anyways. If you don't understand a rule of any kind, you can email or PM me. Rules can and will be changed if needed.
Basic Rules
These are rules based of common sense, follow them.
- ①Keep things relevant to Kirby!
This is a forum dedicated to the discussion of everything related to the Kirby franchise, as such it's important to keep it on topic. We shouldn't go into a thread about King Dedede and have people talking about Superman. With this in mind, you should keep topics, threads and posts in relation to Kirby. However, it's fine if you add information that isn't Kirby related on occasion especially if it's something IRL related or somewhat related to a topic in said threads. What isn't fine is if every-thread you have isn't in anyway Kirby related. Such threads can be deleted if deemed necessary
TL;DR: Keep things relevant to Kirby or it's off-topic posting
- ②No Spam, Automated Messages or Shill/Ad Links.
As another way to both keep this forum clean and safe this rule is put into place. Spamming or posting malicious links is a ban worthy offense, these bans are not able to be appealed. Repeatedly posting and flooding threads with same-y images or text counts as spam. Making posts with obnoxiously large text that stretches the page or unholy large images to stretch the page will be deleted on sight. Respect our forum, don't spam and vandalize it.
TL;DR: Spam = Bans
- ③No NSFW/Adult Content.
We have this rule for two reasons, the site that I'm using disallows such content to be hosted and that I simply do not want it. The minimum age for joining is 16, as such that still counts as a minor. It is illegal for minors to be subjected or interact with such content. I'm sure there are other places you can talk about Susie Haltmann's boobs or Dedede's dick, but it's not here. NSFW content that isn't allowed here includes: pornographic images, pornographic writings [I.E Lemons or Smutfics] it's not allowed. If it details anything sexual it is not allowed. Now, say if it's a simple joke with a light lewd connotation then fair enough. However, straight up pornography is not allowed on this forum. Posting such things after two warnings is ban worthy. This site can and will be taken down by higher-ups if constant posting of NSFW content is allowed.
TL;DR NO NSFW CONTENT, NO PORN.
- ④No Illegal Content.
You are forbidden, to post illegal content this includes drugs, gore, CP, or anything that violates US and State Laws. Doing such will result in an instant band with no opportunities for appeals
TL;DR: Posting of any Illegal Content is forbidden.
Social Etiquette Rules
These are rules for interacting with your fellow users and the forum community.
- ⑤No harassment, flaming or abuse of any other member.
This forum is generally supposed to be a nice place to talk about our favorite pink puff, as such we do not allow users to harass other users. Hate-speech and abusive posts directed towards users you do not like is not allowed, doing such is on the grounds of deletion and a possible ban. Don't impersonate, harass or expose someones personal information. It is fine to argue different points and views but we do not want flame wars, learn to be civil and agree to disagree
TL;DR Keep it civil and don't harass.
- ⑥Don't forget to report if necessary.
While we do have a Moderator and Admin who'll try to keep a nice watch to see if anything's amiss, it is important that you too also do your part in reporting. If you see something that violates the rules report and or contact the Mods or Admin, doing such helps us keep the forum clean, safe and welcoming. Please make sure what you are reporting is worth reporting on, making false reports or petty reports is within grounds on punishable action.
TL;DR If you see something, say something.
- ⑦Read before you do.
Before making a new topic please make sure you check if there's any topics already made that relates to a topic you want to discuss. Doing so prevents forum bloat from same-y topics. Making a topic that is completely identical to another can result in a deletion of said topic. You should also make sure to read the stickies before making a topic as well.
TL;DR Read the stickies and look for a topic before making one.
- ⑧Stay On Topic.
This is important, just like the rule above it's important to the quality of this forum that things are on topic. For this we have multiple categories to use. Each category has an interest in mind like art, gaming, or merchandise collecting. When using said categories it is important you stay on topic within said categories, art should go into the art threads and plush posting should go into the merchandise threads. Breaking these rules is considered cross or off-topic posting while it's not a ban-worthy offense at first it can be consider worthy of being muted, continuously doing cross/off-topic posting even after multiple warnings can get you banned however.
TL;DR: Keep things relevant to the topic at hand or it's off-topic posting
- ⑨Keep blog posting at a minimum
Because this is a social forum users may feel the need to give information about themselves, this is fine. However what isn't fine is blog posting, I.E posting long stories about your IRL life. This is fine in small snippets but please do not turn this place into your personal blog site, this isn't the place to do so. If you absolutely must have a general discussion, please head over to the General Forum
TL;DR This a Kirby Fan-Forum, not a blog.
